Sick's W14 photoelectric proximity sensor is a sensor that is brought to you in a robust housing, suitable for use in a wide range of applications within industrial environments. Created and designed to detect and measure physical objects or quantities through emitting a field or beam of electromagnetic radiation, an object is detected through measuring alteration in the return. This photoelectric proximity sensor forms part of Sick's W140 series of sensors that feature background suppression. They provide reliable detection of dark objects in front of a light background.
• Scanning distances are adjustable via a potentiometer
• Dimensions of the sensor are W11mm x H31mm x D20mm
• The housing design is in a plastic, PBT, rectangular shape - comprised of a strong and robust material
• Wavelength is 680 nm
• Light and dark switching modes via a rotary switch
• The enclosure has an IP rating of IP67, this means that the enclosure is protected against dust and is completely dust-tight. This rating also means that the enclosure has moisture protection against full immersion for up to 30 minutes at depths between 15cm and 1m
• Red lights as an alignment aid
• PNP open collector
